Inside clearance of glide is 7/16"
Air slots improve air flow over older hole design.

Note:

You might have to silicone the glide all the way around the perimeter for tighter air seal.
Use bench grinder or knife to trim fit edges and corners as needed.

Questions and Answers

Question: I have a question regarding the glide on my wand. What do you recommend I use to create a seal and semi-permanently affix the glide to the wand? I want to be able to remove it when it wears out without having a permanent residue of glue on the wand, but at the same time I can't have it falling off all the time. Do you have a recommendation? Thanks.

Answer: I used a clear 100% silicone sealant (in a caulk gun). Clean stainless steal head with rubbing alcohol first. Apply the silicone and then set the glide. When you want to change out the glide (after 6 months), you can score the silicone with a knife and reclean and re-seal the wand with a new one. See photos below for example of a glide that has been sealed.
